Six decades ago, Don Pablo Pérez and Doña Mariana Cruz found their paradise on the southern banks of the Maipo Valley: a territory of elevated slopes where thousands of years of geological history created unique stony soils, rich in minerals and blessed by an exceptional Mediterranean climate. Upon this privileged terroir stands today an architectural masterpiece designed by José Cruz Ovalle, a winery that gained worldwide recognition in seven specialized publications even before receiving its first harvest in 2002. Surrounded by native espinos, litres and quillayes trees, and defined by ancient stone pircas, Viña Pérez Cruz is where Chilean winemaking tradition meets innovation and contemporary design.
The Bike Tour invites you to discover our valley in an active way, deeply connected with the landscape. This approximately 5-kilometer route of medium difficulty begins at Emporio Liguai, cycling through the vine rows toward the winery on a climb that will allow you to appreciate the unique geography of our terroir. Once at the winery, you'll explore on foot the production areas and underground cellars before cycling back to Emporio Liguai, where a well-deserved tasting of three wines awaits. Available daily at 10:15 a.m. for groups of 2 to 5 people, this tour requires booking 24 hours in advance. We recommend bringing a water bottle, sunscreen, comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.
